Wet Grinding Mill

Introduction

Wet grinding mill is an equipment that uses liquid medium to produce ultra-fine grinding powder. Wet ultra-fine grinding products can be divided into two application forms according to different processes and different customers: One is the pulp market, which is mainly used in papermaking and latex. Second, the slurry is dried and then reduced to dry powder.

What is the difference between wet and dry milling

Dry grinding means that the water content of the material does not exceed 4% during the grinding operation. The wet grinding is to suspend the raw material in the carrier liquid stream for grinding. In addition, dispersing agents are added to help the grinding process. When the moisture content of the material exceeds 50% in the wet grinding machine, the problem of dust flying can be overcome.

The wet milling process for calcium carbonate production line includes mixing tank, buffer tank, diaphragm pump, wet grinding machine, vibrating screen, check tank, product storage tank, etc.

First, the coarse material, water and dispersing agent mixed in a mixing tank. Then the slurry flows into the buffer tank, and the diaphragm pump plays a role to pump the slurry into the main wet mill. After the slurry enters the vertical wet media mill, it is squeezed and ground by the grinding balls in the grinding cavity. The fine powder slurry that meets the fineness requirements flows out through the discharge port. The slurry that has not yet reached the standard continues to be ground in the grinding chamber of the wet mill. The qualified slurry flowing out will pass through the vibrating screen and then converge in the check tank. At this time, inspectors will test the slurry in the check tank. The final qualified powder slurry will be transported to the product storage tank by the transferring pump.

In the calcium carbonate wet grinding production line, a wet grinding mill machine can be selected. According to customer needs, two wet grinder machines can also be selected. When two machines are connected in series, the finer powder will be produced. When two wet grinders are connected in parallel, the output will be doubled.
