Fault causes and solutions of vibrating screen

The vibrating screen is mainly composed of a vibrator, a screen box, a spring damping device and a supporting chassis. It is driven by a motor through a V-belt to drive a vibrator with an eccentric mass to vibrate the screen box. Under the action of gravity and vibration elasticity, the purpose of screening and grading materials is achieved.

Short life of the bearing

The short life of the bearing is mainly due to the movement of the centerline of the vibration source of the circular vibrating screen. The main reasons are as follows:

  • After the circular vibrating screen has been running for a period of time, the connecting bolts and other connecting bolts on the side plate of the vibrator and the screen box will become loose. This will cause the relevant components to lose effective restraint, which will cause the axis of the vibration source system to move.
  • The bolt holes become worn out. When the bolt holes on the circular vibrating screen become larger, the relevant components will also lose effective restraint. This will cause the axis of the vibration source system to move.
  • The bearing cage is worn out. After the bearing cage is worn out, the bearing is replaced.

  • The bearing seat is worn. When the bearing seat becomes more worn, it will cause the axis of the vibration source system to move.
  • The eccentric shaft is worn. When the eccentric shaft wears less, it will also cause the axis of the vibration source system to move.
  • The skeleton oil seal on the outside of the vibrator is worn. The thin oil in the vibrator is mainly sealed by the outer frame oil seal. When the outer skeleton oil seal becomes more worn, the seal of the skeleton oil seal will fail. This causes the oil stored in the vibrator casing to leak out, which causes the bearing to burn out of oil.

High bearing temperature of vibrator

During normal operation, the bearing temperature of the vibrator should not exceed 75°C. In actual production, such a situation often occurs: the vibrating screen is in operation, and other things are relatively normal. But the bearing temperature is too high, and the temperature continues to rise. The high temperature of the bearing caused by this situation is mainly due to the improper oil level in the vibrator.

Reasons of oil thrown phenomenon

The oil thrown phenomenon of the vibrating screen continuously occurs during operation, mainly due to the following reasons:

  • There is a pressure difference between inside and outside. During the operation of the circular vibrating screen, as the temperature increases, the pressure inside the vibrator increases. If the vent hole on the bearing seat is blocked, the seal of the vibrator will fail. As a result, the lubricating oil is squeezed out from the side of the oil seal of the skeleton and the oil is thrown away.
  • The rotation centerline of the vibration source produces movement. When the centerline of the vibration source of the circular vibrating screen moves, it will also cause the seal of the vibrator to fail. As a result, the circular vibrating screen continues to throw oil during its operation.
  • The seal of the outer frame oil seal of the vibrator is not tight. The vibrating screen is lubricated by thin oil. Because the skeleton oil seal on the outside of the vibrator wears quickly, the seal of the skeleton oil seal is often not tight. Often cause serious oil spills.
